Primary Responsibilities:

The DME Sales Consultant will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales revenue by developing new accounts, growing, and managing existing customers and promoting Medical Modalities wound care portfolio of specialty Home Medical Equipment within a designated territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consistently exceed sales quota for territory.
• Establish new accounts by prospecting and cold calling.
• Become technically and clinically proficient in all products.
• Build relationships with medical staff, physicians, clinicians, and mid-level practitioners.
• Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit referrals.
• Strong working relationship within the internal team of customer service, logistics, and A/R.
• Develop and manage accounts within the territory. Primary call points will include wound care centers, orthopedic surgery clinics, home health agencies, lymphedema clinics, hospital case managers, and VA Medical Centers.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to articulate insurance reimbursement guidelines for key products and services and train providers on requirements.
• Capable of aligning the client’s expectations with organizational goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with sales management on a regular basis to ensure a clear path to attaining and exceeding sales goals and activity level.
• Conducting routine educational presentations to therapists, patients, and physicians relating to the products and services.
• Ability to establish and manage weekly call schedules consisting of 40-50 outside sales calls per week and 1-2 in-services per week.
• Become a trusted advisor to your accounts.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2-5 years in the Healthcare Industry with at least 3 years of medical sales experience.
• Documented sales success (President’s Club, exceeding sales targets, etc.)
• BA Required.
• Clean driving record and negative drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience calling on wound care centers, home health agencies, and hospital case managers.
• Understanding of insurance reimbursement and HME/DME a plus.
• Understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement, and insurance coverage criteria.
